I'm totally lost here, my car is killing me... Here recently it has been stalling, it has had high idle (but that was fixed), it's been overheating, some weird pinging noises comming from the enigne, and a major loss of power. My car is a 1983 z28 with stock everything (crossfire as well). I change the spark plugs, and the ignition module... i'm lost, and i don't know much about cars anyhow.

a few littel things that it could easily be:
if the rad cap is dead it will nto hold any surface tension on hte water, this will allow it to heat soak which causes ignition knock.
check to see if you coil is dead or nearly dead, tha twill not cause overheating, but it will cause a lot of knocking.
the big bad thing you shoudl check is to see if the oil looks like chocolate milk. that woudl be a sign of a dead head gasket. nto teh worst thign in the world with iron heads, but a bit of a PITA to fix.

hope this helps.

later
