Need some advice.....

Hey. This is my first post... Have a situation:

My friend offered to sell me his camaro. Its a 1988 Rs. with the 305 TBI in it and 4 speed auto. It has 105k on it and runs great. It has some rust on it that has been covered with white paint. New front brakes, alternator, and plugs...... The price is 800$. Can anyone tell me what a 17 year old would expect to pay for insurance instead of like a escort or something.... Tell me if this is a wise move.

Just call insurance companies for quotes. Try to have the vehicle VIN, and of course, your driver's license number ready. RS's are cheaper to insure than an IROC/Z-28.
As far as being a wise move, it really depends on the condition of the car. $800 seems really good. Trust me though, do a complete lookover everything and assess those repairs. Add in your insurance quotes, and then see if it is worth it. Remember to add in the fun factor though
