Need suggestion

Here's whats going on in the near future: Holley 300-66 intake manifold, LT1 cam, steel 1.6 roller tip rockers, and little stuff like lifters, push rods, springs, and timing chain. Anyways, I've heard the LT1 cam produces it's own egr in a sense. So would it be ok to ditch the egr valve and turn it off prom wise when I install this stuff? I know egr helps keep combustion chambers cooler and helps milage, and I don't want to lose those features. However, I have no visual or smog inspections. The reason I'm asking is because I'm worried about hood clearance. The manifold is higher than stock, and I would need an additional 5/8" tbi spacer to allow for the egr to fit. Thank you in advance, Roy

hehehe.....I smoke checked a 300zx three times last night and beat an '86 Z-28 w/ TPI. Also got to see a Charger and a modded fourth gen SS go
