So i scored a free manifold

Scored a free edelbrock victor jr. manifold from my cousin today who is a ford guy anway so he would never use it, but i was curious, everyone says, a single plane might work well on the tbi, but has anyone done it? If i did this i would obviously not be emissions legal here for california, but i have it sitting around and was just kicking around the idea. Not only was it free, but it was polished, and had nitrous bosses drilled to boot, although only the front runners were ever drilled and then they were plugged with pipe plugs. anyway, 'tis the season i guess, and as this was the only real car part i got today, i got soem world heads for xmas but that was an early present. Would this be a good match? anyway, thanks.

i run a torker II single plane and that works allright.

A victor Jr needs a healthy motor under it to do well for most people. Im talking a hot 350+, it can work well on a hot 305 ive seen dyno proof.

Your best bet is to sell it to me for a reasonable price A mean 350+ is in my future.

victor jr is a huge manifold. the vacuum signal would likely get lost in all that open space. you coudl prolly make it work good with a nice sized cam, but it woudl prolly be a bit too much to get full potential out of and still be very nice to live with on teh street in a 305.

Yeah, thanks for all the opinions fellas, i just put on my edelbrock tbi performer, and am pretty happy with that, but i was just curious what you all thought. I think i will sit on it for a while, i have a 350+ in my 70 malibu, maybe that will make its way on there some day.

Thanks again,
Mike
