Another LT1 question

I'm sorry if I'm beating a dead horse, but I just purchased a '94 LT1 cam off of ebay, and I want to make sure it will work in my 92 305... I know I'll need new springs and such, but other than that the cam is a direct sawp, right?

Thanks for any help

WHAT .. who in their right mind told you that you can just put a new cam in ... you have to change your heads ... the high lift on the cam will bend your pushrods like a pretzel .... and the cam journals on the 305 are smaller ... so it will need machined to fit!

JK ... its a direct swap .... let me know when you do it so i can buy stock in fel-pro .... your gonan need lots of gaskets, tools, might as well do a fuel filter and timing chain replacement while your at it.

I would replace the timming chain and other little things for sure just make sure you have all the tools you need before you start the swap. Just be careful when removing the timing chain cover also.
