TBI CTS location (1227747)

If the CTS is on the radiator side of the thermostat, would it have an adverse effect on the system to move it to the engine side of the thermostat?

Well in theory yes. The thermostat wont open unitl the coolant reaches a certain temp and the coolant will not reach the sensor until then. So your temp gaugee will be off

The CTS sensor is supposed to be on the engine side of the thermostat. The stock location is in the coolant crossover/link at the front of the intake manifold.

The temp guage sender is located in the driver side cylinder head. The CTS just send the temp to the ecm. It has nothing to do with the temp guage.:rockon:

the temp guage runs off of a little wire underneath the exhaust manifold on the drivers side i beleive its in between the 1st plug and the 2nd plug. the wire has a fitting and it should slide right over the sensor. unplug it and your guage wont work.
