96-00 vortec crate with 90 puter

i have a 90 burb with a weezing motor and just what to drop in a crate motor to replace it. can i get a newer vortec crate motor and a vortec tbi manie and be good to go?

sorry if this has been coverd- search no worky right now

If its the stock Vortec motor and not the 350 HO vortec motor, you should be ok. The Vortec motor is rated 50hp more than the TBI motor and a similar cam profile. You may need to increase fuel pressure slightly but it will run ok. If you do more like headers and cam then you will be exceeding what the stock chip can adjust for. Of course a custom chip would be nice but it will run with the stock chip on a stock vortec motor.
