Finally no more swirl ports
I finally got done with my head and intake swap. I ripped off the ol swirl ports and went with a pair of 305TPI heads (181s i think) that were ported and polished with new Z 28 springs and a new polished RPM air gap to go with that. When i first removed the heads i finally got to see the dreded swirl port heads, it was worse than i thought when i looked in the intake with the valves off. The car pulls much better into the top end but it still needs a lil bit of tunning. I have the holley 670 unit but i have not put it on yet do you all think I need it or is it over kill for what i have
If i put on the holley unit I will not be able to run the NOS plate becuase of the holley 2" bore. Can i enlarge the Nos tbi plate to 2 "?

Hey Zrated that looks really good man. I am still contemplating what manifold to get for my combo too. Do you still have the stock RS hood? If so how tall is that adapter plate and what kind of air cleaner are you using to make it fit and how much clearance do you still have?

Ok that makes sense that you have the SS hood; that's too bad I was really hoping you still had a stock hood and it would fit by some phenomenon, but it was just wishful dreaming I guess an air gap and a tbi adapter wouldn't fit under a stock hood.
