Idle Air Control Question

Does everyone's IAC valve hiss during the first warm-up of the day or is mine malfunctioning or misadjusted?

That's just the way it is. I have the IAC park position set to 120 steps. That's quite a few steps, so in the morning mine is loud as hell.

Mine's pretty loud too.

I removed the hood insulation, rear hood seal and have crank underpulley installed (Accessories rotating at lower rpm = quieter sounding engine).

I think the thing that freaked me out the most was after I put in the underpulley I could hear the clicking of the injectors pulsing open...

Yeah.. since I've managed to quiet my engine down it's taken me a long time to actually convince myself all that ticking really is the injectors and not lifters
