Header Leak.........Tripping out knock sensor??
Can a primary leak on a header on the #2 cylinder maybe trip out a knock sensor?
Here's the scenario: My low end is sufferin bad, I can't stomp on it from a dead stop and I'm having to run so much timing that it's causing misses up high especially. If I get out the timing light and watch it on the dampener it'll run in the same spot then all a sudden it will jump back about 4 degrees or so then jump back to where it was then run there for about 15 seconds then do it all again.
My prom has 6 degrees in it I believe for timing so I was supposed to run it 0 on the distributor. When I did that it would barely accelerate so I went 2 degrees advance at a time and it kept getting better until I got to the edge of the timing pointer which is probably 8-10 degrees? But it never got perfect.
Any Ideas?

As for the 6 deg in the PROM. If that is the initial SA term in the PROM then you need to set your base timing to that value also. Try that and see if it helps.
It also sounds as though there are other problems such as weak ignition or fuel pump.
