i'm currently hunting down a low mileage vortec 350
These are things i know
need:
1 custom prom or whole setup from truck(not going to happen)
2 truck injectors (got them)
3 new timing chain (on the way)
4 Different cam (will cover that next)
5 New intake (ultimate mods will be done also)
6 Time (after motor is here i got one full weekend)
7 Heads machined for higher lift and exhuast side porting while i'm at it.



Cam selection:
I can get these in good condition and used on my college budget:

1 lt1 cam (easier to tune and very cheap)
2 CC305 (verry close to hot cam)
3 Hot cam (nice cam but not great to learn tuning on)
4 CC306 (not very missions legal but i can get it cheap with low miles and i probably can tune lean for emmisions day)

the cc305 has an lsa of 112 and from what i've been reading it can cuase idle problems for my tbi setup

the cc306 has a better lsa @ 114 but is a more radical cam

my delima is what springs to get for the heads and weath the cc306 is even in the ball park for running with vortec heads
