Hey all! This is my first time posting here! Anyway, I just bought a 92 Camaro RS with a 305TBI crate motor (Stock). The PO already put a Flowmaster on it, and a cool thermostat, and extra electirc fan (Car wont go past 180 in even the hottest weather/traffic).
Anyway, I was wondering what a couple cheapy first mods would be. Anyone have any ideas? Anyone know what the Flowmaster would add hp wise?
Thanks a million!
Also, whats your thought on removing screens on the MAF? People say you gain 10hp! And, alot of people say an open element filter helps alot, but what happens to the MAF?

you have TBI, there is no MAF.
do a search on mods, basicly everyone is goign to tell you.
Ultimate TBI mods (see tech article off the main page)
Headers
Gears/posi
after that, *I* would suggest getting into chip burning, and learning how to tune it correctly, once it gets tuned well, do a heads/intake/cam swap.
45 more cubes is always a good upgrade too
but beyone those 3 mods listed, i wouldn't do anything unless you get into tuning.
BTW, welcome.

Dewey is right. You will here the same thing from millions of people. Just scroll through the pages and you will find your answers. You can use the search function to get a little more detail on particular subjects but for the most part questions like yours are answered on a daily basis. You can do the free mods and open element for under 30 bucks total. You will see nice improvement with just that. If you just have a Flowmaster muffle on the stock exhaust piping your power is probably the same just with a deeper sound. If this is the case look into getting a nice 3" cat back set up. That is always a nice mod to compliment your open element. Welcome to the boards and get ready to read and learn.
