TBI Parts Question (Intake/TBI/Ignition)

Hi guys

Well, after 3 years of working with my TBI system, i'm giving up. I've come to the conclusion that its not worth the effort for me to keep trying to make the system work as well as i want it to. At this point its either spend $300 on the hardware and figure out a way to get a laptop, or drop a 600cfm holley on it, and i've opted for the latter. Thanks to everyone who's helped me troubleshoot in the past, I have had a blast working on the TBI and figuring out how the system works. I think its a great unit for a stock cruiser, but if you're really looking for horsepower, a 500 cfm 2-barrel just doesn't cut it. So here's my last question to you guys.

In the next 3 months or so i'm going to be pulling off my Holley TBI intake (2in bores) and Holley 670 TBI, and Accel Ignition in favor of the rocks and sticks method. Is anyone looking for a drop-in setup like this for some time this winter? I'd like to have it sold before I buy the carburetor stuff. I'll post it on the classifieds boards too.

Thanks again everyone. At the very least, the TBI community has been very helpful

Tyler P.

Why can't you just get the needed equipment and tune it? I'm sure it will be much easier than swapping a frickin carb on the thing.

Check out the prom board as well. There is something called the Prominator in developement, pretty much lets you tune on the fly using the stock ecm and last I heard it was going to be no more than $250. Very cool stuff.
Also, check ebay. Labtops can be had for cheap. Either way you go, best of luck
