Roller blocks arent better persay, just the cam profiles have better ramps then flat tappets meaning they will rev a little faster... All in all any block can be made to accept a roller cam now a days, its all in how much you want to spend, there are plenty of gr8 flat tappet cams out there... If i were to get a new engine I would most likely get flat tappet just for the mer fact the cams are cheaper... But its your money do what u want..
rollers help with the friction problem of flat tappet cams as well as last basically forever unlike flat tappet cams and lifters. You wont ever hear of a wiped out cam lobe with a roller motor. Roller is better period.

what benefit
All things equal except cost: What would be the benefit in the roller setup.
Estimated ET difference? All things equal!
Is it really a good bang for the buck buy? Like I choose Cast over Alum. heads!
I thought the steaper curve would be worth it but I am buying a stroker this weekend and would like more feed back on this subject too.
