A/C Delete Help

I spent an hour today at work today ripping all the A/C stuff out of the RS.

Now I'm left with the big A/C compressor bracket on the front of the block. Are there any companies that make an A/C delete kit for the 305, or does anyone have any "clean" ways to get rid of that hunk of useless metal?

I do not know if you need a shorter belt.. But any referance chart at a autoparts store should tell you that.. here is a pic I had on the harddrive of the AC Delete pully.. (My car)..

no, you WONT need a shorter belt so dont even waste your money on one. Also since you are deleting your AC you might want to look for a non AC heater box which are less bulky than the AC one that sits on the passenger side of the side of the firewall. There are always some on ebay. It will really clean up the engine bay and make getting at that back spark plug or exhaust manifold/header bolt 100 times easier.

I ordered the part from gmpartsdirect-

now, its time to go find a non a/c heater box, and then to remove the smog stuff once my new headders come in

I got the A/C delete pulley for x-mas. It is very light. I'd say less than 3 pounds. Can't wait to put it on.

Laters,
