Anybody ever used the Pro-jection manifold
Has anybody used the Holley Pro-jection intake manifold? It says it's a dual plane, high rise intake and EGR compatible manifold for the 670 Holley.
Just wondering.

A few members have but they had to convert to an older style EGR. No biggy though but I hear it is a great intake. Poeple just usualy don't like to justify the cost.

I helped a friend put it on with a 670. Its solid because you dont need an adaptor for tbi like I need with my rpm. He likes it, but he's got a lot of issues other than the manifold so he never really got any good times.

It's a great intake. I ran the intake on my 305 until it died. I would have it on my 383, except I'm running vortech heads. I swapped that intake (replacing the stock one) and swapped in some 1.6 roller tip rockers at the same time, and can say that it was the greatest sotp difference so far, besides the engine swap obviously. I actually felt it more than my gear swap.
The swap isn't that hard either, it's pretty much equivalent to a carb intake swap in that you only have one vaccum source and need to route the coolant hose from the diverter to the front of the manifold (looks better anyways). Both are easy to do.
The only issue is with the egr valve as shifty stated. To make the stock style work, you need to run a 5/8" tbi spacer. Doing so, you would probably need to modify the throttle bracket as well. Or you can try an older truck style egr from what I have heard. I ran a egr blockoff plate, and had it turned off in the chip.
