holley 670 dual TB vs GM 454 dual TB

I am certain this has come up before. i am anticipating 4/04 replacing my crossfire set up with one of the above. the holley unitKeiberge@amfam.com is $440 new but holley will not swap in the larger 85 lb injectors. i them have slightly used 90 lbs to sell? the chev unit is $800 new! it is obvious the salvage yard is the way to go. what are odds of finding this unit? anthing unique or i need to know about the use of a 454 SS dual TB injector? I assume it is an easy bolt onto an adapter plate with my single plane ? I would expect i would get the throttle cable as well from donor or better yet buy a new one. i do not need a kickdown as i have a manual trans. not sure how the cruise would adapt but dont see an issue there. I recall the crossfire, fires both injectors same time as would the dual TB? i further assume i just wire the dual input from the current injectors (parallel) to the GM unit. same with the IAC. the IAC needs to have the steps reduced by 1/2 in the eprom but that may need some changes anyway possibly. i will review stickies for further info. if anyone has experience with this swap please offer a tip or two.

Yes it has come up before. Please refer to the ALLGOHERE/FAQ threads at the top of the TBI Forum. Hopefully there you will find the answer you are looking for. If for some reason you don't, please post in THAT thread. Thanks!!

thanks i read that tread. it appears the holley unit will require me to purchase the 85 lbs injectors and the 65 lbs will go unused.also the TPS sensor will need to be removed from the holley and a gm unit used? anyway it appears the GM is going to be more user friendly to swap on . i fould a new GM unit on ebay for $395 including shipping. it looks like that may be the way i go.
