Can I use a GM ignition module to filter the tach signal from my coil and create the reference signal required to fire the injectors? I would use one of the 8-pin Camaro style modules and only connect 12V+, GND, Coil(-), and use the PPL ref to the ECM. Does anyone know if this will work?

This is so I can run a TBI system without using the ignition control. I am using a duraspark/TFI ignition.

Although I dont know how to do it it has been done before. Hopefully the person who did this will see this thread.

 

Ah, just remembered the users SN. Its CHEVYTOWN. He was useing a non-CC dist. with his efi. Im not sure which one he was using but its worth a shot dropping him a line.

 

Thanks for the replies. I actually figured this one out with some trial and error. Here is a wiring diagram for my AMC/Duraspark application, but it will work with any coil and distributor.
