throttle/cruise entend brackets

going to be adapting the 454 TB onto a single plane. using a howell plate that positions the TB about 3/8 inch forward. should i use standard GM truck throttle cable and bracket? do i modify the cable (3/8) or GM bracket? photo? how about my cruise control? (84 vette). i know Lokar sells some brackets as do other companies. how have you done this? I see Howell lists no specialty brackets.

You can re-use the stock linkage and bracket but you will have to do some fab work to the 454. You will have to grind that tab off and do some welding to accept the stock linkage. My buddy is currently doing this and he should have a tech article up soon.

i read on one post there is a way to extend the cable by crimping on an extension? i will contact howell and lokar and see if they will do something special for me. they do the hot rod brackets and are familiar to retro fitting. thanks.
