Fuel Injectors

I was just thinking last night as I was perusing he boards, reading posts, looking at pictures...so on and so fourth and then I read a post where someone was talking about modding a TPI intake to be used as a TBI intake to increase fuel flow. There reasoning was due to bad fuel flow from the TBI unit.

Then it hit me. I plan on putting in a bigger cam (LT1) and heads from a TPI based 305 engine. Is my stock TBI going to hold its own (after chip tuning of course)? or is it going to be ok? I haven't done the ultimate TBI mods yet but plan on doing them soon. Would the ultimate TBI hold its own to these mods with chip tuning or do I need to go out and buy a holley or edlebrock intake and TBI unit?

I woudl guess that with a FPR the stock injectors will be capable of supporting an LT1 cammed motor, that cam is not extreme by any means. so you don't have to try to fuel the motor at 7k.

FWIW, i am still running the stock TBI unit with a larger cam than the LT1, and a single plane intake. I still have the stock heads though (hopefully not for long.) and I am not pulling any vacume, even at 6500 RPM.
