Someone please help with tach install on TBI
I have had it with my crazy tach, so I purchased a new Autogage pedistal mount tach. Any of you TBI guys that have installed a similar aftermarket tach please tell me how. I have read the instructions, but my wiring is kind of a mess so I need help!

it really doesnt matter wht tach u use. if u hve a decent repair manual look for the wiring diagrams. on min eat least itsa green tach lead. jus wire it into tht and keep it away from the spark plug wires cuz thtll make the damn thing jump...a lot..

For your tach (or any tach for that matter), this is where you hook up the wires:
12V ignition- Look at the fuse box and use the IGNITION spot. There is no fuse there, FYI.
12V lighting- Use the INST LPS fuse wire (it should be gray)
Tach signal- Use the white wire going from the coil to the wiring harness (not the white wire going from the coil to the distributor)
Ground- Of course, just use a good engine ground
If you still don't understand what to do, just post and I'll elaborate on what to do. Good luck!
