What is this sensor???

I have no pic but it is easy to describe. When you are looking at
the TBI from the passenger side and you are looking on the bottom of the outside there are two sets of wires going to sensors
one on the left and one on the right. The right one is black and is held in place by two torx screws. What is the one on the right and what does it do? Can it be replaced? The reason why I ask is that I been having a stalling problem at idle and when I am just sitting at idle something kicks in and the car stalls. I was messing with stuff and when this sensor was disconnected the stalling problem stoped. I might be crazy but I hope I narrowed the problem down.

Thats the TPS. Disconnecting it will cause an error to be set and will effect how other things work. Use a scantool to verify that the tps is indeed faulty before you replace it.
