which sensor???

My car is running like $#*! and i think it is a bad sensor. The car starts up fine and when it is in park i can rev it up all the way and it feels realy strong. However when i put it into drive and give it some gas it stutters, knda like its not getting enough fuel or i have a couple spark plug wires switched around. But when it is in drive and i hold the brake i can smoke the tires still. Ive checked all the spark plug wires to make sure they were in the right order and i checked my timing and everything is perfect, so im guessing it is a sensor. If this sounds like a sensor to anyone please let me know which one it might be and where it is located. Thanks

Is the Check engine light on start by checking for trouble codes. A chiltons will explain how to do this.

Could be a weak fuel pump...clogged fuel filter you need to check fuel pressure to be sure. Hope its not, you´re in for a fun weekend if you need to replace the fuel pump.

only when i give it gas the SES light flickers on and off. And i used the paper clip to check for codes and nothing comes up. I know the fuel pump is getting weak and probally should be replaced soon, but i really dont feel like doing that. i was really hoping it might be a sensor.
