help with scanning

i have a 94 truck 350, i need directions on how to scan this thing.. is it 160 baud, 8192 baud, need to know what program to scan with, and what cable needs to be used? ive tried several ways, so im just going to start fresh. ive got win aldl, datamaster, i bought a cable?? nothing works for me....maybe im just not hooking the cable up right...i dont know.

so if anyone has a truck running $od, help me out please.

Thats the later model PCM rather tehn one of the earlier ECMs. You should be able to scan it with the 8192 baud software (winaldl wont work at the higher baud rate). Itll also need a different cable then the standard single transister one, if thats what you have, as its a two way connection.

anybody know of a specific cable i can buy, with good instructions on how to hook it up?

my biggest problem is figuring out where to put which wire on my plug, b/c where it says im supposed to plug in, there isnt a terminal to plug into.

I have no doubt the gang on the DIY PROM board will be expert on this. I WISH I knew what they knew.

I have a very similar TBI PCM ($e6).
I use datamaster with a cable from www.mastach.com (9pin serial), and it also works well with my moates USB cable.
