best way to do it, is to turn the engine over to TDC, then pull the cap, and look at where the rotor is pointing, that will be where the #1 connects, then follow around clockwise in the firing order.

Keep in mind that the engine has both a #1 and #6 TDC. If the rotor is pointing at the firewall when the engine is at TDC, rotate the motor around once more.
