dual snorkel or open element?

I want to upgrade my TBI, first of all ive heard the mention of using the dual snorkel air cleaner or an open element or something like that, does anyone know where i could find one of these and which one is better? Is it possible to adapt a working 4th gen ram air style hood to the TBI?

The dual snorkel is better than the open element. However, it is rare and hard to find. If you are lucky you local junk yard may have an an old L69 car tucked back in the corner with the dual snorkel. If not you will have to suffice for an open element or a custom cold air intake of your design. Take some time to use the search function and read up on intakes for TBI cars. There are tons of threads to lead you in the right direction.
