Just about to put in my lt1 cam and hand ported 416 heads
now alot is telling me i need to tune or my car is gonna run like crap, so where do i get the stuff to tune?and also what other mods can be done after this?

for tuning
you can get everything you need off ebay, and www.moates.net,
you'll need a programmer like the pocket programmer 2, software like cats, tuner pro etc.... and a flash chip like AT29C256, i love the flash ones G2 Memory Adapter: with 0.6" or 0.45" Spacing
depending on your ECM and a laptop for data logging, this sounds like a lot, but you can score close to 150 to 250 for all this stuff if you shop right, whats next after your cam and heads? depends how much more your willing to spend, there's gears, intakes, etc. a whole lot more you can do but its all up to you, and what you want to do, but get your tuning down and you'll be set for any other mods that come next

 

deff. check the stickys it would take these guys all day to explain all the stuff...look for traxions guy he goes in depth into what your options are and add the moates.com programmer to his list cause its the cheapest one i know of.

and also u say 416 heads you do know if u r putting those on your 89 that unless u get a diff. intake or have the holes machined then it wont fit correct?? just saving u alot of pain in the long run if u didnt know that.
