Sputter, bog, stall at startup

Car: Red on Red 89 RS
Engine: LO3 305 TBI
Transmission: TH-700R4
Axle/Gears: 10-bolt / 2.73
Sputter, bog, stall at startup
When I start the car I have to rev it a tiny bit to keep it running, just a tap after crank or it stalls. Any ideas of what this problem might be? I'm about to do valve seals because it burns oil at start up, think the oil may be the problem?

hey i also have the same problem so your not alone lol i have done a complete tune up with ALL fluids even the rear end, 02 sensor, iac motor. any body have any thoughts?

have you changed your fuel filter? i`d say get a fuel pressure gauge and check it.it could be a few things.

mine was doing that then i got to where it would die at startup and not start for awhile...i changed the filter and no help then i just thought to change the coil cause i had an msd coil laying around i hadnt put on yet and it fixed the problem.
