Ok well here it is Sunday night after my car had sat in my garage for a couple hours i went out there just to get a drink out of the fridge and i noticed a horrible gas smell..it appeared that the fuel line was leaking but i checked the line and no holes or anything looks like it had recently been replaced. But when looking around I noticed a tube comming out of the gas tank connected to a UFO looking piece located at the driver side rear wheel....well the parts of the UFO shaped thing were completely seperated. I smelled a strong odor around this area. Could this cause the gas odor? Should i go about trying to push them back together or should I buy a new part? Also could this cause gas to drip down on the lines and drip off?

Pretty much just a pressure relieve valve.. Keeps it from building pressure when filling like stated above. but also prevents a vacuum conditino in the tank.. which would make our poor fuel pumps cry....
