383 stroker & TBI
Need some help: Do any of you think I can safely fire-up & break in my 383 stroker motor w/orig. TBI setup? Spec's are as follow: 383 stroker, forged crank, 6" h-beam rods, GM 847 cam w/1.6 rockers, Edelbrock Victor JR. heads w/68cc chambers, SRP forged flat-tops w/cometic .040/4.066 gaskets for my desired approx. 10.5 c.r.? It will be spring/ early summer b4 I can afford the Accell genVII DFI, intake, throttle body, & controls. I don't want there to be prob's w/rust, poor sealing rings, etc...(Originally posted on DFI/ECM page) guess what I'm really asking is will the TBI programming be sufficient to run this motor for break-in purposes? I know the TBI will be drastically under fueled to actually run this motor @ normal driving conditions.
