odd ball ecm?
hey guys i happen to have an odd ball ecm #16146299 ($99), out of a 92' c1500, they only used this ecm one year, sadly i cannot datalog since winaldl doesnt support this ecm and i cannot find an ads file for tunerpro r/t. So i guess i have to switch over to a differnet ecm, my questions are will ecm #1227747 ($42) or #1228746 ($61) work with my application, i mean just plug right in, i dont want to have to re-wire anything or get a new wiring harness? My other question is if both of these are compatable, which would be the better one to use?

The 7747 and 8746, or similar ecms should be a direct replacement assuming that the 6299 is a C3 ecm.

Winaldl should have no problem dataloging a 299. I did it for months with my 1992 G20 TBI setup in my 1983! Just use the 1227747 or 8746 definition. They are very similar and one of the two (forget which) will give you all the pertinent info that you need. The 1227747 is a pin for pin replacement for the 299.
The 1227747 is probably the most widely hacked and tuned TBI ecm out there.
