Camshaft Deal on E-bay
I really really wanna try a Ram Jet injection one day, just can't fork over the money for a vortec mods and all right now. In my searchin I have found some ramjet cams on E-bay for 60 bucks and I am wondering if it would be a decent grind to go into my very mild TBI 383 in my truck ? It has early smog heads on it now and seriously needs an EBL and a good tuning session but so far I am happy with it.
these are the cam specs if you are not familiar with it
The duration at lash point in degrees (intake/exhaust) is 288/308; duration at .050" tappet lift (intake/exhaust) is 196/206 and maximum lift with 1.5:1 rocker ratio (intake/exhaust) is 431/451. Valve lash is zero/zero and lobe centerline is 109 degrees.
this is the cam that Chevy uses in their 383 HT ( truck ) motor, and it has an incredible FLAT TQ curve. Should I go ahead and grab one and do a retro roller install on my truck ?
