TPS interchangability ?

Transmission: Probuilt 700R4 3600 stall/ T5
Axle/Gears: Moser axles, 3.42 Eaton Posi
TPS interchangability ?
I want to switch tbi units on my 88 due to it being a piece of CRAP!!! Will it cause any problems going from a flat style tps to a round style tps sensor?The tbi unit I want to use until I get my Xtremefi unit is off a 91 camaro. Do I have to tune it in or will splicing the connectors be suitable for use?

ANYBODY?
i had previously a stock crossfire system with a flat type TPS. i replaced that system with a 1995 TBI unit that had the newer-other style non-adjustable TPS. the wiring schematic was posted here or maybe crossfire forum. anyway it worked fine.
