SMOG crap
Hey guys,
can anyone link me up to a good detailed article/pictures about removing/plugging/whatever"ing" all that crap on (your left from standing in front of the car) side of the motor. It's all that AIR crap. There's hoses everywhere. Also, the removal of the smog pump and any change in belt sizes etc. Basically. I need the works. Thanks,

Some of those "hoses" are affiliated with your heater controls.
The metal lines and such are the stuff you want out of there. I would be highly interested in this also, and if nobody goes about writing it. If you can wait, I hope to rid my engine compartment with the emissions over christmas break, most likely early January. If when I do so, nobody has done it, I will document everything and write the article in the same manner as the open element. Pics and text.

There isnt much to it guys, just remove it all
the only thing you need to be concerned about plugging are the holes in the manifold if you choose to remove the air tubes. They take a 1/4 inch pipe plug
the length of the belt is a 968K6
the routing is detailed in the tech section of the website
Alex, are you going to fuddruckers sat. night? if so, then ill be there and ill show you the works on that

Isn't there some rewiring that you have to do as well? My AIR and Smog pump is gone but I didn't do that, my previous owner did. And it looks like he did a little rewiring as well. Might want to look into that. Maybe that was to keep that SES light from coming on as well as other warning lights.
