How far we've come
Just wanted to say that when i first joined this forum (under a different name) about five years ago, TBI was still toilet bowl injection, we were still the little brothers of TPI and the car running okay was a more realistic goal then high performance.
now look at where we are! thanks to the core members of this forum, Rbob, Dimented, Shifty, BMmonte and all the other aliases i can't remember, we now have affordable routes to performance that don't require swapping to carb or TPI to get there. you guys turned TBI around.
you guys have tranformed a once despised F.I. system into a very viable platform, thanks for all the hard work!
Rbob, awesome work on the EBL dude! Bmmonte, you don't even drive an F-body right? thanks for the help, especially you're INTERNATIONALY recognized thread on tuning! Shifty, haven't seen you in awhille but you always helped us newbs out patiently, that's impressive! Dimented, pioneering the P4's is some crazy work, specially for the salary you get round here, thanks to a lack of medication and gears for brains you're cranking out the next generation TBI DIY platform.
Thanks alott to all of you guys for the help i know i've recieved with my own f-body
thanks to all the people i couldn't remember to mention on here.
heres to how far the TBI forum has come

Yes, There are many folks here who have inspired so many of us, to take on things that we never thought we would. Rbob has saved me more than once, by taking the time to respond via PM, over and over on the same question, to clarify something I don't understand.
The DIY tuning group in general was huge in just giving me the guts to try it. I have learned a ton by trial and error, and just tuning, and looking at the data. But, without the guys who had done it before, I never would have tried.
Just wait. Next winter, I plan to up the stakes again. I have a plan that I am working on, and plan to start on it next winter.
I'm not sure how long this thread will stay, I know we have had ones like this many times before.

Just to give you some examples of what this forum is NOT, do some recon on some mustang websites, alott of them consist of:
"dude my stang is SOOO fast, i took out a lil (imported japanese car with stickers word) punk last night, hah!"
"dude i passed a jet last night!"
"dude i own a stang and i passed this camaro and while i was passing him i jumped out and grabbed the other guys gf and she was like wooowww you have a mustang and we did it in the back seat and i put her back and i still won dude, it was sweet dude, stupid camaro people."
they have no concept of reality. it's weird.
i have a nissan too and the 240 sx websites arent much better. Any sentance without the word turbo in it is ignored. They spend upwards of 2000 dollars to break 200 hp, and the nissan 4 bangers weigh in like a V8. There is a VERY small sector of the KA24 (equivalent of the l03 in nissan) people doing anything interesting with them, one guy had a 900 hp KA24 but these are very expensive.
just saying, take a look around the web, you will be HARD pressed to find a place with as many knowledgeble helpfull people, theres something good in the water round here
guess the word pertaining to a staple food that also applies to cars from that same region of the world is banned, my bad!
