Thinking about a 350 TBI
Thinking about a 350 TBI
I've thought about getting a 350 TBI truck engine to swap out my 305 TBI. Would that be a compatible with my current computer and tranny? Only mods I would do to it are maybe Edelbrock intake and headers along with my planned open element setup (as soon as my cowl hood from unlimited comes in).
Not really after a pavent pounder, will be getting a LS1 Formula WS6 in a year and a half. So my 88 will be continue to be my nice daily driver (and get more compliments

i have a 350 in my car, with a pretty lumpy cam, and i STILL have the stock computer and chip and my car screams, even with the crappy rtear end i have (open 2.73s). the trayy shoudl definitely bolt up, and so shoudl all the accesories. remember, the only difference between a 305 and 350 is on the inside of the block, so everything for the most part should fit. everything from mine swapped over without any problems.
i would recommend staying way from the edelbrock intake if you plan on getting a bigger throttle body. i would just get a carb intake and get an adapter, they work a lot better with the bigger throttle bodies. but, if you want to keep the stock one, then by all means go for it. they are basically a "takle one out and put teh other in" swap...really easy.
go for the edelbrock headers. i had them before my current stainless SLP ones, they were nice. the only reason i got rid of them was that i wanted some without the A.I.R. tubes.
