Does blocking the heat crossover with a gasket mess up performance?
There are two types of gaskets for the intake manifold, would getting the type that restricts or blocks off the heat crossover mess up performance on a 92 305TBI?

I think it would increase performance. I'm not sure about this because I've heard so many things about EGR being good for the heads/combustion chambers but bad for the intake. I think since all "performance" manifolds don't have it, why should we!

Mine is blocked, and my car performs rather well
remember the gasket has to come with some metal plates to cover the crossover holes, otherwise it will jsut blow through the gasket if the holes arent there
If you have egr and havent disabled it in the chip you might have some problems with some knocking because when the computer turns on the egr it also advances timing to compensate
