Ok I just recently purchased a Summit Aircleaner (14x3). However it doesn't quit fit over the distributer. Because it is a good excuse I am going to buy one of those .5" TBI spacers. This will raise the aircleaner assembly just high enough to clear the coil wire and distributer. I was wondering if I am going to have enough room or will I have to return my 14x3 K&N for a 14&2 filter? Has anyone done this with no problem. I know almost everyone on here has a open air element but did any of you guys have hood clearance problems? Please help I am doing this mod tommorow!!!!!!!Oh, and it is to hard to measure. Not precise enough.

eventually I will be able to buy a new hood, but for now I just need it to fit.

 

Does anyone at all have a similar setup with a spacer?
