CFI lid spacer
2" blades and have your CFI throttle bodies bored
port the base
there are other tricks to do with the base runners and i think there is some sort of EGR casting inside that needs to be ground out and im guessing you could shorten the runners somewhat, work on the aircleaner assembly too

Edelbrock performer intake for a couple of reasons: a)cheaper and b)the edelbrock TES was ment for low rpm hp and torque (reason they use smaller primaries)
Then definatly a 600cfm carb like already said. The CFI is complicated. The system actually has restrictive "swirl" pieces that do absolutely nothing for performance. Once you get rid of the intake system you'll be a lot happier. Then a cam swap, call up compcams and tell them your combo and ask for there opinion. They are very helpful.

Um Guys, what about gears? All this intake crap does nothing compared to what a higher gear ratio and a posi can do. Get some 3:42's or 3:73's and a Auburn Posi. I guarentee you will love the differnce.
It may not increase hp/tq but it will knock a good .5 of ur 1/4 mile.

Check out turbocity's website. They have some cool parts for the crossfire injected motor. Gears are a HUGE help.

Get Gears. A friend of mine has an 84 Vette with 350 CFI he rebuilt it with flat tops and a Comp Cam. It made a BIG difference. he is still using the stock chip.
