questions on external afpr vs. internal afpr

questions on external afpr vs. internal afpr

other than teh obvious difference, how else are the external and internal afprs different?

does one offer any advantages over the other?

with an external one, what mods must be made to the stock (internal) afpr? does the whole thing have to be removed?

without cost as a consideration, what would you guys recommend?

but, WITH adjustability, reliability, and general performance usage as considerations what should i go with?

i want to optimize my whole fuel system, so i was debating whether to use the stock one in my 454 throttle body i am getting in the mail this week, or get an aftermarket one.

If you wana use an external one, you need to gut the stock one.

If you gut the stock fpr then you would put the afpr on the return line. This is also a good place and time to install your fuel pressure guage.

you dont need to gut the stock apfr

i just plugged the return and put my fpr there on the section of rubber hose on the driverside

or you can just lower the pressure on the stock one all the way and put it on the return line

it will just keep you above like 9 psi always
