went to the track again

nothing exciting to report, i went 14.20 and 14.21 a couple more times. the mph picked up though, almost all my runs were over 95 mph. i had some trouble getting a good launch on the freezing cold and damp track, my 60fts were almost a full tenth higher than normal. if i could have gotten some good launches in i think it would have gone a 14.0 with the mph i was getting. oh well, maybe next weekend.
there are some new vids of my runs on the dsi racing page too. one is of me spanking a brand new mustang that the guy said he had just picked up for a shade over $30K. hope he's happy he spent that much

the cam is gonna be a while still. i just got the cash together to fix and regear the ailing rear end(you can see it peg leg during burnouts on some of the vids) then i hafta get the scratch together for the tranny overhaul. i am planning to stick with the edelbrock manifold for now, at least until i prove myself right or wrong about thinking it can make enough power for the 12's
maybe by the end of the season i will break down and get a 2inch bore tb and a better manifold, i will still prolly stick with the dual plane just for that little extra off idle power though.
i did tell the guy what my car had in it too, he didn't seem to happy for some reason knowing that he just got his a** handed to him by a car with a book value of about $4500

He must have bought the car for looks although I'm not sure why he would do that either (fugly ford...the other 4 letter f word ).
NJ Speeder, those times are really close, now if only you could get the car into the 13's. I say stick with the stock cam just to see how far you can go. I like the fact that it's a 305 with stock cam AND it's TBI, that must really make some of those guys cry. Oh well, I can't wait to get to the track one night while I'm back for spring break.

NJ,
are you using a T.C. lockup switch or alternator cutout yet? what about exhaust cutout?

and what do you mean stick with a dualplane? heh, like that isn't enough already? I don't think it is holding you back.

i don't have the tcc switch yet, i went to install it and found the wiring harness was all corroded. so i am gonna make a new one and get that set up. i can't run a dump at e-town most of the time, they have some rule about mufflers, really it's the appearance of a muffler that counts.
i still have a lot of weight in the car to lose and some repair work to do that will make the 13's easy from here. as soon as i get the cash for a new rear carrier and some 3.73's i am sure i will be in. the tranny rebuild and converter will just make it sweeter.
