I know that so many of you guys have the open air element, so it must be nice, but you also say cold air is better. SO, I know we can buy the older 305 H.O. air cleaner base and all with the dual snorkel. What would be better, open-air or the dual snorkel with two of the new sponsors cold air induction type setup?
Supposing I did go with the dual-snorkel setup what would I do with the mass air flow sensor?

the 305 H.O air cleaner is about $150 more new than an equivalent new open element. What mass air sensors? as for one or the other being better, its up to you as to what you can do to either one. For me, an open element would be better. For a guy with a camaro, a H.O. air cleaner would be better unless he had a cowl hood where as the open element would be better.

Forget about the HO dual snorkel. If you wanna do something like that check this out. I'd just go with the open element though, it's really good on the "bang for buck" factor.

the ram air box is nice. i have a graph here that shows. cold air induction is only good for 4% hp increase at 60mph, and lower increase at lower speeds. dont worry bout cold air. This is a very reliable source. david vizards book, how to make hp.
Just get an open element. it is cheaper and you can save all of that other money for better mods.
