throttle linkage on tbi's

I am converting my 82 crossfire engine to regular tbi. I am wondering if the throttle cable on the late 80's tbi's are mounted in the top hole the middle, or the bottom. I know one is for the trans, and one is for cruise but Im not sure wich. Also when your foot is off the pedal, should the flaps inside the tbi be opened at all? or should they be closed when at rest?

Hello if you are off the throtel the flaps should be closed. As for the cable if you are trying to use the cross fire cable you will run into some problems. The cable for it is about 3 feet long where the cable for the later is only about a foot long. I hope that this helps you in your quest. If you have any cross fire parts left let me know I need some. Thanks Dave

yes I do have all the hardware from the crossfire system still, but I would first like to make sure that this new setup works well. Also unfortunately I reused the spark box and all the wiring from the xfire on the tbi setup.
