BACK IN O-H-I-O

What a trip. Another adventure for Jon and his camaro. Just my luck, a loose wire and the engine overheated a bit. Fixed that in a couple minutes and was back on the road (tip: never trust anybody else with the electronics on your car, ~cough Tim...Ethan...Chris S. cough~). Anyways, car ran great after fan started working again.
I can't believe the 8mm wires made that much of a difference, so simple .
Back to the adventure. I was coming to rt 81 where the penn turnpike (70/76) stops when my drivers side rear tire blows out! Great...this couldn't be any worse. Well thank God that was the worst of it. Rim wasn't damaged even though radial became completely detached. $53 and AAA later I was on the road with an H rated used 245/50-16. What a spring break let me tell you. It went so fast when all you did was go to sleep thinking about one thing....the car. Good news is that the engine is looking GREAT with the strut tower brace back in. It looked naked without it. I'll post pictures of the final project in a while. For now there are a few more new pictures posted http://jon.betamp3.com

By the way, I drove 540 miles and filled the tank 10.4 gallons, then 13.4g. Do that math and that all equals almost 23mpg. And no the car wasn't running lean, not even an SES light. The engine has great pull, never downshifted for a hill, 74mph at 2000rpm . I'm very happy with the swap so far and must say I'm very proud of the combination of parts and performance gain.

glad ya made it back in one piece. I was wondering how the engine would perform on a long trip like that. Hope you get a chance to read my e-mail now that you are back.
All the best.......bob

JP, I am curious at your ALDL output. Specifically, how your BLM's look. They must be near 128 with such good driveability... NICE
