1.6 rockers

I have a n 89 tbi stock top and bottom ends. the question is what do I need to do to change to 1.6 ratio rockers. I'm thinking it's just the rockers and guides, but will I need new springs or any head work.

we have no guides. just take the old ones off and put the new ones on. maybe put some oil on them the first time...

the cheaper 1.6 self alighning ones will. The big aluminum full roller rockers might needs some mods to work.

I have the big expensive full roller rockers on my L03 and they work fine. Direct bolt up. No other mods needed.

RGZWS6: Did you use the self aligning rockers? What brand are they? What year is your block?
I think it's just the 87-newer blocks that need the S/A rockers, right?

Cylinder heads without guideplates (like the 87+ heads) need self aligning rocker arms.
