Finally got my rs

I finally got my camaro. Sure it's not an IROC or a Z28 but I really like the RS. It's got the basic 305 engine a k&n filter, flowmaster, nice wheels, tinted windows and a great stereo. But most importantly NO RUST. The car runs great but what I want to know is what would you suggest to do in order to make the engine breath better?

Look in the tech articles. And you find some good mods to do to get better air flow. Like porting the TBI, changing the air cleaner to the non drop down base. Stuff like that. I think the LO3 is a pretty good motor. Bone stock they have good low end. And if slightly tuned they can go pretty good. Some things I would suggest is getting rid of the swirl port heads. Also put in a L98 cam. This will give performance. But cause the cam isn't that much larger than stock. It still sounds stock. I think the best thing about the RS is that people think its slow. But with some mods you can have a great sleeper. Good luck...

Get an open air cleaner. I got a Mr Gasket 14" flat base for $20 and put a 14x3" K&N. For the air cleaner to fit, I took off the spacer that the stock air cleaner sits on. The filter was $45. If you don't have to worry about emmissions, take your cat off. After you get it breathing better, you can make your fuel meter adjustable using the tech article on this board and open it up a little more. I have a 92 RS and it is the most dependable car I have owned.
