91 305 RS. I got a ticking sound coming form my engine. Car runs fine but its really annoying.
The car has 120K miles so i figure its something under the valve covers.
Any suggestions?

 

if its a faint tick then its just a lifter tick which a lot of cars have which means absolutely nothing. if its a loud *** tick then it could be something serious but i have a lifter tick after making a few runs a little too lean but car runs fine and i fixed the problem so its ok.

 

Or if it's really, really loud; then someone probably put a bomb under your hood.

 

How do i fix a lifter tick?

 

why is it that annoying? just crank up the radio or get a louder exhaust. leave it be its not big deal. anyways i dunno how.

 

Could be a exhaust leak in one of the manifolds.
