Engine: Hot Cam 355/TPI 305
Transmission: All 700r4's
Last Timing Question
OK the beast lives the timing is set on TDC and its running fine however I need to set the base timing. I pulled the wire at the passenger side firewall and the car dies..... What is the process

If it dies, you probably don' thave enough initial timing to get it to run with the timing control disconnected. Try advancing the distributor a bit by hand (like 10deg) and retrying the whole process. If you keep advancing the distributor and the car runs but then stalls when you disconnect the bypass circuit, you have a bad ignition module. you should be ok, though, by advancing a bit. Counerclockwise while looking down on the distributor to advance, BTW.
