I have a 92 RS 305 TBI and i have my idle set at 900 rpm in park. The reason I put it up that high is because i have underdrive pulleys on and everytime i would start it it would die. so i uped the idle speed and it works fine. I was wondering if 900rpms in park would hurt anything?

 

I don't think you'll hurt anything by that, just eat a little more gas. I think mine probably idles @ 750 in park, warmed up. I'd actually like to raise it, because it idles SO slow in drive, like at a stoplight that sometimes it'll stall. Is is easy to turn it up? Is there a screw?

 

yes, on the drivers side of the throttle body where the throttle linkage is you will see it resting on the tip of a screw. there is a plastic plate over the other end of the screw towards the front of the TB. you need to find something to poke through the plastic peice and pull it out. after you get that out you should be able to see the head of the screw.......turn it right for higher idle and left for lower idle.....have fun
