timing question and need a little help
ok, i nstalled a new cam and intake, put everything back where it was, but i know the timings a little off, but no matter which way i turn the dist, just a little obviously, but when its advanced a little i get a lot of power but then i stop and the thing dies and hotstarts when i turn it back a little the rpms drop really low and surges and still wants to die, it catches itself most of the time and brings itself back up, but chances are it'll die next time, so whats you guys' opinion on this? I could relly use the help seeing as how i drive the thing nearly 500 miles a week, and shes my daily driver (Exept today anyways)

or do you think i should advance or retard timing, the car says to set at 0 so I did. I am using the compucam 2010 profiles are 378/401
with any bigger than stock cam you are gonna hafta run some advance. just turn it until it smooths out to start. with good gas in the and the engine warmed all the way up you can keep advancing the timing until you hear a little pingin gcoming out hte exhaust, then just turn it back a little past where it smooths out again.
